Container transport to the Canary Islands

Today, the mode of transport has been standardised worldwide through the use of maritime containers. This system allows cargo to be loaded onto vessels in a far more efficient manner, reducing the time required for loading and unloading ships, simplifying operations, and streamlining transport — giving rise to what is known as multimodal transport.

Transport involves moving a load from point A to point B, which can be accomplished by land (using trucks, trains, and any vehicle equipped with an ISO container locking system), by sea (using container ships), or even by air (where the use of containers is limited by the aircraft's payload capacity).
