In principle, we will endeavour to carry out the move within the loading and unloading hours permitted in the city centre zone, without needing to apply for a reservation of public road space. Only when the scale of the move is particularly large will we request this permit, which, depending on the local authority, typically takes around 7–10 days to be granted.
This is a very important question, and the answer may surprise you — what seems cheaper at first glance often is not.
To help clarify, we distinguish between fragile items (fine glassware, kitchenware, electronics and decorative objects) and non-fragile items (bedding, clothing, books, etc.). Whenever a move takes place, the hired company must guarantee the condition of all items delivered inside boxes. For this reason, packing fragile items is always carried out by our team, ensuring their integrity throughout transit. Clients may choose whether or not to add our packing service for non-fragile items (clothing, books, toys, etc.).
Common sense tells us we should request quotes from at least three or four removal companies that appear at the top of whichever search engine we use.
However, we must be wary of listing portals that promote non-specialist companies offering discounts of up to 60% right off the bat. These companies typically subcontract all services to so-called self-employed workers who have no accountability and little or no experience. As a result, quality tends to drop almost as sharply as the price.

Companies that appear below the paid adverts in the organic section of search results have earned their position through longevity and are generally better rated on review platforms. You can also find removal companies in La Palma by searching on Google Maps.
A family member has previously used the service.
This is perhaps the best indicator of a truly professional company. If a family member or friend recommends a removal firm, it is because they were genuinely satisfied with the work carried out. Trust those personal recommendations.
Several factors influence whether a move is more or less affordable.
Service dates.
The most expensive months are the summer months from June to September; outside of these dates, your move can be up to 25% cheaper compared to those months.
Pedestrian zones:
Rather than a difficulty, this is a scheduling constraint on when the move can take place. For example, in city centre areas there are access restrictions for removal trucks, which are only allowed into certain zones between 8 and 11 in the morning.
Narrow stairwells and lifts.
This can be the factor that makes a move more complex and requires a larger number of crew members. It is commonly found in older buildings where the lifts are small, holding only 2 to 4 people, or where the stairwells are excessively narrow.

Los plazos de reserva estimado aconsejados son los siguientes.
Servicios de mudanzas la última y primera semana del mes:
Si la preferencia para realizar la mudanza es a principios o final de mes, seria recomendable que esta fecha se concrete con al menos 20 días de antelación de esta manera se asegurara la disponibilidad de la empresa de mudanzas que haya sido contratada.
Servicios de mudanzas entre el 10 y el 20 de cada mes:
En el caso de tener previsto realizar una mudanza entre los días 10 al 20 del mes elegido, la recomendación es hacer la reserva con al menos 7-10 días de antelación. Ya que entre estos la disponibilidad de las empresa de mudanzas es mayor.
Trabajos durante el fin de semana:
Cabe destacar que en estos días suele concentrarse un mayor número de peticiones de reserva de clientes para los servicios de mudanzas, una vez recibido el presupuesto y tomada la decisión de contratar su mudanza con Horizont Atlantic será conveniente comunicar esta intención para reservar el día. Cabe destacar que sería ideal que esta confirmación se haga con al menos con 1-3 semanas de antelación.
También hay que tener en cuenta que los servicios los fines de semana tienen un coste un 25% superior con respecto a si se hiciera entre semana.
