How the Tenerife - Madrid route works

Madrid has no port, so this route is handled in three legs. First we collect from your home on the island and take the cargo to the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There it is consolidated in a container and shipped to the peninsular port that best fits the departures that week, usually Cádiz or Valencia. From the arrival port, the cargo travels by road to Madrid via cross-dock, that is, without intermediate storage: it is transferred and continues its journey.

The estimated total timeline is around 9 days from shipment, to which you must add collection, packing and customs clearance. It is the same logistics circuit we use in the opposite direction in moves from Madrid to Tenerife, just in reverse.

Where we collect in Tenerife

We collect from the entire island: metropolitan area of Santa Cruz and La Laguna, north —Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Los Realejos— and south —Arona, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje and Granadilla de Abona—. In the historic centers of La Laguna and Santa Cruz we manage the public space reservation and, if the furniture cannot be carried down the stairs, we install a furniture lift.

Where we deliver in Madrid

We deliver in Madrid capital and the entire Community, and also in the neighboring provinces that fall within the same circuit: Toledo, Guadalajara, Cuenca, Avila and Segovia. In central Madrid we take into account two things from the budget: the regulated loading and unloading hours on many streets and the Low Emissions Zone, which determines which vehicle can enter and from where. That is why we plan the last-mile vehicle based on the district, rather than discovering it on delivery day.

Groupage or exclusive container

For an apartment with one or two bedrooms, groupage is standard: you share a container and pay for the actual volume you occupy. For a complete home or if you need a specific delivery date, an exclusive container makes sense, which does not depend on completing the consolidation. Since Madrid is an inland destination, groupage fits especially well: the cargo is grouped with other shipments making the same land route.

Departure procedures

The Canary Islands fall outside the territory of application of VAT, so removing your belongings requires DUA and customs clearance. If you are relocating due to change of habitual residence, you can benefit from the VAT exemption on used personal goods by meeting the requirements and deadlines. Price

The price is calculated by actual volume (m³), plus origin and destination access and any extras you need: full packing, bridge storage or car transport.
