Moving from Fuerteventura to Málaga

What is the Fuerteventura - Málaga route like

Being the easternmost island, Fuerteventura has one of the shortest crossings of the archipelago. We collect on the island, we ship from Puerto del Rosario to Puerto de Cádiz and we go up by road to Málaga in cross-dock. The estimated timeframe is around 8 days from shipment, plus collection, packing and customs clearance.

Where we collect in Fuerteventura

We collect in Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, Costa Calma, Morro Jable, Gran Tarajal and the interior. It is worth knowing that the island is long: from Corralejo to Morro Jable there are more than 100 km, so the distribution from end to end adds hours and kilometers. We plan it by zones and in a single pass, which is what prevents the collection from increasing the budget.

The other distinctive point of this island is what is moved: surfboards and kites, sails, bicycles, diving equipment and quite a bit of home office computer equipment. Where we deliver in Málaga

Much of what leaves Fuerteventura towards Málaga ends up in the Axarquía: Vélez-Málaga, Torre del Mar, Rincón de la Victoria, Nerja and Frigiliana. It is an area with quite dispersed housing and narrow rural access roads, where the large truck does not reach the door and the last section has to be transshipped. We check it with the specific address before giving a price.

Groupage or exclusive container

Due to the type of shipment —medium volume and little heavy furniture—, consolidated groupage is almost always the option that offers the best price on this route: you only pay for the cubic meters you occupy. The exclusive container makes sense if you are moving a complete dwelling or if you need a fixed delivery date.

Departure procedures

Leaving the Canary Islands requires DUA and customs clearance. With a change of habitual residence and used personal property you can claim the VAT exemption: we prepare the DUA and the valued inventory and we indicate the supporting documents to you —deregistration from the census on the island and registration in the municipality of destination—.
