The shared container (also called groupage) means sharing a sea container with other removals heading to the same destination. With an exclusive container you reserve a 20 or 40-foot container entirely for your removal: the departure is on a fixed date, the transit is shorter, there is less handling of the cargo (it goes in once and comes out once), and it is the recommended option from 25-30 m³ (large home, offices, relocations with machinery). For very large houses or international removals with bulky furniture, the 40-foot container is almost always more cost-effective than a shared one once the break-even point in m³ has been reached.

Every removal between mainland Spain and the Canary Islands requires a DUA (Single Administrative Document) because the Canary Islands are outside the EU's common VAT customs territory, under the REF regime (IGIC + AIEM instead of VAT). We handle the DUA for you as part of the service. If you are moving with a change of residence, you can apply for the change-of-domicile exemption and be exempt from IGIC and AIEM on your used personal belongings. To claim it you will need: a certificate of registration at origin (Madrid or your province, with at least 12 months of prior residence), DNI/NIE and, in some cases, the certificate of registration at destination after the move. It is the ideal solution as a bridging period between the unloading of your container and the handover of the keys to your new home in Tenerife, or for longer periods if you are renovating or are unsure of your final destination. The rate is monthly with the first month pro-rated, with no minimum term except discounts for 6 or 12-month contracts. If your removal arrives from Tenerife and you need temporary custody before final delivery, we combine it in the same service at no extra double-handling cost.

Yes, we manage sea transport of vehicles from Madrid to Tenerife in two options: enclosed container (recommended for high-end, classic or salt-sensitive vehicles) or roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) (more economical, the vehicle is driven onto the ship). We collect the car from any point in Madrid, Toledo, Guadalajara, Cuenca, Avila, Segovia and deliver it to Puerto de Santa Cruz de Tenerife or, if you prefer, to the destination address by flatbed. If it is a change of residence, we handle the entire Canarian registration process for you: application for form 06 of the IEDMT (Special Tax on Certain Means of Transport) and the corresponding AIEM where applicable, deregistration of the mainland insurance and new Canarian policy, ITV approved in the Canary Islands and new plates. You can combine the household removal and vehicle shipment in the same container to optimise costs.

Under international maritime regulations (IMDG) there are materials we cannot ship in a removal container: flammable liquids (petrol, solvents, solvent-based paints, alcohol), compressed gases (butane/propane cylinders, fire extinguishers), explosives (including sports ammunition without a licence), loose large-capacity lithium batteries (those integrated into mobiles and laptops can travel), perishable goods and live plants (subject to Canarian Plant Health regulations). We also cannot transport cash, high-value jewellery, original legal documents (deeds, wills) or bearer instruments: these must be carried by you personally as hand luggage. For works of art, collectible wines, musical instruments or very fragile materials we offer specific custom-built packaging and, on request, declared-value insurance above the standard liability cover.

Every removal from Madrid to Tenerife is included with public liability insurance (RC) on the declared value of your belongings, covering damage during maritime transport and handling at origin and destination. The basic RC cover is included in the price of the service. If your removal includes high-value items (works of art, antiques, premium electronics, jewellery, collectible wines, professional musical instruments), we can arrange complementary declared-value insurance covering the actual replacement value of each item. To take out this extended cover you must first send us the detailed inventory and, where applicable, the appraisal certificates for the items. Office and business removals require a different approach from a home move: zero operational downtime and traceability by department. We work in 4 phases: (1) technical survey at origin to measure volume, identify critical workstations, review destination floor plans and assess IT/AV requirements; (2) weekend loading with numbered packing by workstation/department, furniture disassembly and certified disconnection of IT equipment (with an optional secure data erasure service for old hard drives); (3) sea transport in an exclusive container with a fixed date so you have certainty about operations; (4) assembly and commissioning at destination (Tenerife) with connection of PCs, telephony and signage. For companies with offices in the Canary Islands and mainland Spain, we also manage annual framework contracts with preferential rates for internal relocations, employee transfers and ad-hoc stock or sample material movements.

Yes. It is very common for the client to travel by plane while the removal goes by sea (that is the logical thing to do). We only need an authorised person at origin to open the property, supervise loading and sign the inventory (it can be a family member, a neighbour or the owner themselves if you have already left). At destination, similarly, you must designate a contact person to receive the container, sign the delivery and check the condition of the items. If nobody can be present at either end, we offer a key deposit collection service at origin (you leave the keys with a notary, at our office or with a keyholding company) and storage at destination in our warehouse until you arrive, at no extra double-handling cost. We send you photos of the loading and delivery status for your peace of mind.

To book your removal from Madrid to Tenerife, you simply need to accept the quote we send you within 24-48h. A service contract is signed (online or on paper) and a 30% deposit is paid to block the date in the calendar and reserve a slot in the container; this 30% is 100% refundable up to 14 days before the date if you need to cancel.
