What is the Tenerife - Málaga route like

We collect from your home on the island and transport the cargo to Puerto de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where it is consolidated in a container and shipped to Puerto de Cádiz, the closest mainland point to the archipelago. From there it goes by road to Málaga via cross-dock: it is transshipped and continues its journey, without intermediate storage that adds days.

The estimated total timeline is around 8 days from shipment, adding crossing and land distribution from Cádiz. Before that you need to count the collection, packing and customs clearance. It is the same circuit we use in the opposite direction in moves from Málaga to Tenerife, just in reverse. Compared to inland destinations like Madrid, here the land section is short, and this is reflected in both the timeline and the price.

Where we collect in Tenerife

We collect throughout the island: metropolitan area of Santa Cruz and La Laguna, north —Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Los Realejos— and south —Arona, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje and Granadilla de Abona—. In the historic centers of La Laguna and Santa Cruz we manage the public road reservation and, if the furniture cannot be taken down the stairs, we install furniture elevators.

Having our own warehouse in the El Mayorazgo Industrial Estate makes a concrete difference: if you leave the home before the ship sails, your belongings wait under roof and insured in our facilities, not on the dock or in a third-party storage facility.

Where we deliver in Málaga

We deliver in Málaga city and throughout the province. In the city, there are two things we plan from the budget: the regulated loading and unloading schedules in the Center, Soho and La Malagueta —areas with many pedestrian streets or restricted access— and the Low Emissions Zone, which determines which vehicle can enter and where. That's why we decide the last-mile vehicle based on the neighborhood, rather than discovering it on delivery day.

Outside the city we distribute in the western Costa del Sol (Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona), in the Axarquía (Vélez-Málaga, Torre del Mar, Nerja) and in the interior (Antequera, Ronda, Álora, Coín).

Groupage or exclusive container

For a one or two-bedroom apartment, groupage is typical: you share a container and pay for the actual volume you occupy. For a complete home or if you need a specific delivery date, an exclusive container is worthwhile, which does not depend on consolidation being completed. Since Tenerife is the origin with the most traffic from the archipelago to the mainland, groupages are completed quickly and waits are short.

Departure procedures

The Canary Islands are outside the VAT application territory, so removing your belongings requires a DUA and customs clearance. If you move due to change of habitual residence, you can benefit from the VAT exemption on used personal belongings by meeting the requirements and deadlines. We prepare the DUA, the valued inventory and tell you what documents to gather —deregistration from the resident registry in Tenerife and registration in the Málaga municipality, mainly—. You have it developed in the service of moves from the Canary Islands to the Mainland.

Price

The price is calculated by actual volume (m³), plus access at origin and destination and any extras you need: comprehensive packing, bridge storage or car transport.
