Local move within Tenerife
The most requested service: relocating between municipalities on the island (Santa Cruz to La Laguna, Arona to Adeje, Puerto de la Cruz to La Orotava, etc.). Indicative ranges:
- Studio or 1-bedroom flat (15-25 m³): 380-650 €
- 2-3 bedroom flat (25-45 m³): 650-1,200 €
- 4-bedroom house or detached house (45-65 m³): 1,200-2,100 €
- Large home with a piano or special furniture: 2,000-3,500 €
Move from Tenerife to another Canary Island
Add the cost of the inter-island sea crossing and the double handling at the ports:
- Tenerife → Gran Canaria: +300-500 € on top of the local rate
- Tenerife → Lanzarote or Fuerteventura: +400-700 €
- Tenerife → La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro: +500-900 € (requires transhipment)

1. The volume of your move
The price is calculated in m³ (not by weight). An 80 m² home usually takes up 20-30 m³ of load; a 120 m² home, 35-45 m³. If you have a lot of bulky furniture or full storage rooms, it rises proportionally.
2. Distance between origin and destination
In Tenerife, the difference between a move within the same municipality and one that crosses the island (Santa Cruz ↔ Adeje, 80 km along the TF-1) is around +200-400 € extra for travel + crew time.
3. Accessibility of the properties
Factors that make a move more expensive:
- Flats with no lift or a small lift (they multiply loading time ×3)
- Pedestrian or restricted streets (requiring an OVP permit)
- Access via a narrow or spiral staircase
- The need for an external crane to lift furniture up through a balcony
4. Amount of special furniture
- Piano: +300-1,500 € depending on type (piano guide)
- Safe or heavy items: +100-300 €
- Artwork or antiques: + insurance at declared value (1-2% of value)
- Washing machine, fridge, dishwasher: included but require a protocol
5. Additional services booked

7. Day of the week
Moves on Saturday or Sunday usually cost 10-20% more due to crew overtime. If your calendar is flexible, moves between Tuesday and Thursday are the most economical (Mondays and Fridays tend to be peak days).
8. How far in advance you book
Booking 3-4 weeks in advance gives you the best rates and maximum flexibility on dates. An "urgent" move for the following week may carry a 15-30% surcharge for prioritising the crew.

Frequently asked questions about cost
Why can a cheap quote end up costing more?
Some companies give artificially low quotes to win the customer and then charge "extras" during the move: additional time, material not included, mileage, complications. Is it compulsory to pay a deposit in advance?
The standard is 30% when confirming the booking (locking in the date and crew), 40% on loading day and 30% on signing acceptance at destination. NEVER pay 100% in advance to a company you do not know.
Can I make the move cheaper myself?
Yes, there are three ways: 1) Reduce volume (get rid of what you don't use), 2) Choose the low season (November-February), 3) Pack yourself (you save 200-500 € but it takes you 2-3 days). More in: tips for moving without losing anything.
Do you accept financing?
For large moves (>2,000 €) we offer the option of deferred payment in 3 interest-free instalments. For company moves, invoicing at 30/60 days under a framework contract.
Are there discounts for Canary Islands residents or pensioners?
We don't offer discounts for specific groups, but we do offer reduced rates in the low season (November-February) and for small/shared moves. If you are a pensioner and the move is due to a change of residence, we help you with the AIEM exemption, which reduces the tax cost.
How long does the complete move take?
Local move in Tenerife: 1 day (8-12 hours). Inter-island move: 3-5 days door to door. Mainland-Canary Islands move: 10-15 days door to door.
