5-meter tie-down strap with ratchet and hooks.
It serves two purposes: securing the cargo inside the van against the side, and holding pieces together (a folded mattress, a stack of boxes on the hand truck) while lowering them down the stairs.
If you move on your own in a van, this is not optional: loose cargo shifts on the first braking and in a roundabout it can move your vehicle. Tighten until the load doesn't shift, and place cardboard under the strap on lacquered furniture.
