Local moves are a large part of our daily work. We cover the whole island: Santa Cruz, La Laguna, La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz and Los Realejos in the north; Adeje, Arona, Granadilla and the whole of the south. Each area has its own challenges —the old town of La Laguna with its narrow streets, the lift-less buildings of El Toscal, the southern developments with their community rules— and we solve them with a loading team, public-road occupancy permits (OVP) when needed and a furniture hoist if the furniture can't be carried down the stairs.

Every removal follows an orderly process, from the first assessment to delivery and reassembly at your new home. This is how we work, step by step, so that your move is comfortable and free of surprises:

Prior assessment and volume survey
We visit your home —in person or by video call— to measure the real volume, check access at origin and destination and plan the move. An accurate assessment is the basis of a quote without surprises.

You receive a detailed and fixed quote, with no hidden costs: what you accept is what you pay.

Professional packing and loading at origin
Our team packs your belongings with professional materials and loads at origin with our own staff. If you need it, we have storage units and furniture storage for interim periods.

In principle, we will endeavour to carry out the move within the loading and unloading hours permitted in the city centre zone, without needing to apply for a reservation of public road space. Only when the scale of the move is particularly large will we request this permit, which, depending on the local authority, typically takes around 7–10 days to be granted.
This is a very important question, and the answer may surprise you — what seems cheaper at first glance often is not.
To help clarify, we distinguish between fragile items (fine glassware, kitchenware, electronics and decorative objects) and non-fragile items (bedding, clothing, books, etc.). Whenever a move takes place, the hired company must guarantee the condition of all items delivered inside boxes. For this reason, packing fragile items is always carried out by our team, ensuring their integrity throughout transit. Clients may choose whether or not to add our packing service for non-fragile items (clothing, books, toys, etc.).
Common sense tells us we should request quotes from at least three or four removal companies that appear at the top of whichever search engine we use.
However, we need to be wary of web portals that advertise non-specialist companies offering discounts of up to 60% right off the bat. The policy of these companies is to subcontract all services to bogus self-employed workers with no accountability or experience whatsoever. As a result, quality suffers almost as much as the price.

A transparent website.-
Companies with a solid track record in the industry maintain an extensive website, rich in both content and images, and typically showcase photos of previously completed jobs.
Top positions in organic search results:
Companies that appear below the paid advertising spots in organic search results have earned their ranking through long-standing experience and tend to hold higher ratings on review platforms. You can also find removal companies in Tenerife by searching on Google Maps.
A family member has previously used their service.
This is perhaps the best indicator of a professional company. If a family member or friend recommends a company, it means they were satisfied with the work carried out. Trust those recommendations.
There are several factors that make a move more or less affordable.
Service dates.
The most expensive months are the summer months from June to September; outside this period your move can cost around 25% less compared to those months.
Pedestrian zones:
Rather than a difficulty, this is a constraint on the time window available for the move. In city-centre areas, for example, access for removal lorries is restricted to certain zones between 8 and 11 in the morning only.
Narrow stairwells and lifts.
This can indeed be the factor that makes a move significantly more complex and requires a larger crew. It is commonly found in older buildings where lifts are small — designed for 2 to 4 people — or where the stairwells are excessively narrow.
In summary, we can estimate that the price for a move in Tenerife ranges from around 30 to 40 Euros per m³ of furniture to be transported. To obtain an exact quote, our company will visit your home to assess the services required at no cost and with no obligation.

After 25 years of experience, we have found that the majority of the services we are asked to provide tend to fall on Fridays and Saturdays, and on days close to the end of the month.
There is also a peak season in the industry, running from May through August. With all this in mind, we strongly recommend that our clients book their services well in advance.
The recommended estimated booking lead times are as follows.
Removal services during the last and first week of the month:
If you prefer to move at the beginning or end of the month, we recommend confirming the date at least 20 days in advance to ensure the availability of your chosen removal company.
Removal services between the 10th and 20th of each month:
If you are planning a move between the 10th and 20th of your chosen month, we recommend booking at least 7–10 days in advance. Availability tends to be greater during this period.
Weekend removals:
Weekends tend to attract a higher number of booking requests. Once you have received your quote and decided to proceed with Horizont Atlantic , we recommend confirming your booking as soon as possible. Ideally, this confirmation should be made at least 1–3 weeks in advance.
Please also note that weekend services carry a surcharge of 25% compared to weekday moves.
